Mérieux NutriSciences offers an extensive range of training courses aimed at all levels of employees in the food, beverage, hospitality, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries. Mérieux NutriSciences is a FoodBev SETA accredited training provider (587/00077/0610). The company has earned its reputation as a leading training service provider by ensuring that course presenters are all technically qualified specialists with vast practical industry experience - and by offering courses and seminars on topics which are in keeping with international trends.
In addition to being interactive and practical, training courses presented by Mérieux NutriSciences include group discussion, case studies and role-play where applicable. Depending on the level of the training course (various training courses are available from floor-worker to management level), it may also include post-course assignments, written examinations or on-site assessments. Training courses can be customised according to individual needs, for example a photo study of the client’s processes and staff at work can be incorporated into the training. Alternatively, a client’s own quality documents, specifications or work instructions could be used as a case study in the course.

Monthly scheduled training courses are presented at Mérieux NutriSciences’s training facilities in Midrand and Cape Town, with additional public courses presented in selected venues across South Africa and Namibia (All these courses are advertised on our website as well as per electronic newsflash e-mailed to our client database).
Where clients have several staff members to be trained, it becomes feasible to train them at their workplace. This type of training is effective, targeted and can be used to promote teamwork and motivation. This option also allows clients to choose the most suitable time and date for staff training. Should clients not have a suitable in-house venue, Mérieux NutriSciences’s training facilities could be used.

Mérieux NutriSciences has an innovative solution to your training requirements - E-learning. This is a learning method based on the provision of educational content via electronic media.
Legislation requires that staff in the food industry be provided with appropriate training to equip them with the knowledge to comply with food safety guidelines and practices. The Mérieux NutriSciences E-learning platform provides access to training material and assessment processes at times that suit the client. This allows the client to factor in production schedules and shifts and still achieve training targets. Staff members are registered on the system, issued with a unique identity code which allows the client to monitor a specific members training progress at any time.
The staff member is assessed on retained knowledge during the training programme, they then complete a formal assessment at the end of the training and a diploma is issued to the client on behalf on the staff member. Access to the portal is granted for a 12 month period which allows for unlimited access during this period.

To make a booking for one of our courses at our training venues in Cape Town or Midrand, please follow the link below and complete all the compulsory fields. Please note that bookings will not be accepted if the enrolment form is incomplete or a copy of the delegate’s ID document does not accompany the booking. No enrolment will be processed if the client does not have an active Cash or Credit account with Mérieux NutriSciences (click here to Open an Account). Delegates are not officially enrolled in a course until they receive written confirmation from Mérieux NutriSciences that they have been successfully enrolled for a specific course.
